They have been monitoring an anomaly they only discovered in 1985, and have seen the same change three times in 40 years. 

But, now an event that occurs every 13 years is being claimed to be a "rare" event. 

These experts don't even know if the anomaly has existed forever, or just occurred when they developed the ability to observe it.

I don't think that can be tolerated.

It's like Nature and natural events.  You may not like them, but you can't do a damn thing about them!  You learn to live with them, there is no alternative!

Nature, schmature. It has been shown that even though you are born a boy all you have to do is say you're a girl and, poof, you're a girl.

Until for any reason at all, you decide you now want to be something different.  This isn't free choice, this is insanity.
