JJHNSN
So, which books have you guys found helpful? Here's my short list, can you suggest others? I really enjoyed Paul Barrett's Glock: The Rise of America's Gun https://www.amazon.com/dp/B004X6PRXC/ref=dp-kindle-redirect?_encoding=UTF8&btkr=1 Paul Sweeney's The Gun Digest Book of the Glock https://www.amazon.com/Gun-Digest-Book-Glock-ebook/dp/B007KQPS72/ref=sr_1_4?s=digital-text&ie=UTF8&qid=1504811450&sr=1-4&keywords=glock Glock Reference Guide https://www.amazon.com/Glock-Reference-Guide-Robb-Manning-ebook/dp/B0108VCV0C/ref=sr_1_2?s=digital-text&ie=UTF8&qid=1504811450&sr=1-2&keywords=glock
Dave.1
I like the PTOOMA Productions "Complete Glock Reference Guide". I have an older version and it looks like Lone Wolf Distributors now owns it. https://www.lonewolfdist.com/Detail.aspx?PROD=186 I've seen the newer version and about the only real difference is that they added schematics of the Gen 4 and G42/43 pistols. JJHNSN
And now they'll have to update all the books for the Gen 5.
Dave.1
I wonder if they will. Even though the G42/43 have different parts and certainly a different trigger set up, all they did was add a schematic from what I saw. It was kind of disappointing. JJHNSN
Yup, it really is a great book. The knee-jerk types dismissed it out of hand because the author is not a spokesman for the NRA.

JohnKSa
"The Glock in Competition", by Robin Taylor, et. al. is now a bit dated, but it still contains a lot of very interesting and useful information. I was also going to mention the Ptooma book but Dave beat me to it. Edited September 26, 2017 by JohnKSa

Collim1
I was given a copy of Paul Barrett's Glock: The Rise of America's Gun for Christmas several years ago. I’m not a diehard Glock guy, but it was a very interesting read. I saw saw firsthand how unique Glock’s corporate culture is while dealing with them for a LE agency large purchase. They have their own heirarchy and respect system in place. It’s hard to describe but I noticed it immediately. The book gives some interesting insight into the unique personality of Mr. Glock.
