Cosmati Pavement (FLOOR) - in front of the High Altar of Westminster Abbey is a unique; laid down in 1268 by order of Henry III in the new Gothic style in 1245; thousands of cut pieces of mosaic and porphyry, its brass lettering tells us the date it was created (1268) and is 24 feet 10 inches. 3 - damaged inscriptions on the floor contain brass letters, referring to the end of the world, calculating that it will last for 19,683 years.
