My point is no sitting President has been exposed to this much scrutiny. If it weren’t Cohen, it would be someone else and it will be once they destroy him or let him go to move to the next target in their unceasing desire to overturn the will of voter from the Electoral contest in 2016.

It’s not about Trump

they would have done the same for any opposition, regardless of who it is.

the Trump drooling is making us look like fools. Arrest, charge, punish the lawbreakers if they can be found.

’you don’t like Trump’ is not criminal

While I agree the Democrats know they can push Republicans around and get away with it any GOP would be a target, I’ve never seen anything like what we are witnessing. They’re attacking anyone connected with Trump from campaign members to cabinet members while encouraging street level surrogates to harass ordinary people who espouse the MAGA mantra. The overt attacks and graffitti initiatives are reminiscent of what we saw in Germany leading up to the final solution.

National Socialists or Democratic Socialists, a Socialist is a Socialist, no matter the color of their shirts.  Frightening.  The difference is the multi-agency effort to destabilize the Administration, forcing it to defend and endless series of attacks and allegations.  The main post-election effort was kicked off by the former Director of the FBI, who succeeded through targeted leaks in having his mentor appointed to prosecute the Trump Administration, at taxpayer expense.  Learn from history and never forget.

In two years, when a Democrat is in office, it will be more of the same from the opposition. The pendulum keeps swing further each way.

It is a shame what we have become. A nation of people who don’t care about freedom or truth, just “my team is better than your team”.

The problem with that obsession is that there are only two teams and both grow the government and create more laws and restrictions.

Each time the pendulum swings left, there is more push for “leftist” restrictions and “leftist” government development. When it swings right, more right leaning restrictions and right wing governmental powers.

The net result is perpetually more restriction and less freedom for Republicans, Democrats, and the rest of us.

The problem is that many generally support the Republican party, promoting smaller, more limited government and strict Constitutional powers.  Many Republican politicians realize, once in office, that their power derives from taking people's money and giving it to other people.  It's easy and fashionable to throw up your hands and say "both parties are the same", or "they both do it".  If you look at the history of recent votes in Congress, Democrats were successful in preventing a single dissenting vote to go with the Republicans.  Republicans can't even get all their members to vote for their own bills.

When one party espouses a larger federal government and the other a smaller one, one espouses judicial activism and the other judicial restraint, one views the Constitution as a mutable document to be shaped and molded to its will and the other a timeless document to be understood and revered, see who wins when every political battle ends up in federal court.  Gun control is a handy yardstick.  I'll take my chances with Republicans, thank you very much.

The Republicans are betraying us on gun control, too.

Neither party is fixing anything. Our government is a disease masquerading as its own cure.

Much less so than Democrats.  To say there is no difference is to claim there is no difference between Justice Clarence Thomas and Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg.  I'd suggest a reading of some gun-control rulings.  Again, I understand how fashionable it is to claim there is no difference, and that to acknowledge a difference requires courage these days.
