Looking to upgrade my router

I've narrowed down my selection to two.

The Asus RT-AXE7800

Note that I have a few Wi-Fi 6E capable devices, but none that are Wi-Fi 7 capable.  I haven't come across too many reviews comparing the two, but one or the other (or both) seem to come up a lot on the so called "best routers of 2023" lists.

Thoughts?

Asus makes good stuff. Between the 2 I'd spend the extra cash for the higher end model. It's only a other $40. Remember, you'd don't have any WiFi 7 compatible devices YET. I'd also consider a multi-node mesh network if you have a big house.

I did end up getting the AXE11000.  Both of these models are mesh capable, although currently unnecessary for my needs.  But who knows what the future holds?

From what I've been reading, WiFi 7 devices won't really be available until either late this year or early next year.  I'm not waiting, and realistically bleeding edge tech can be costly.
