jmohme
We had my daughter and here husband over for Christmas on the 21st thinking that we would sit out in the front yard with the telescope, binoculars and some cold beer to witness the Christmas star. Clouds prevented much viewing although we did get a few glimpses as clouds parted. Now onto the part that is relevant on a firearm forum. 35 years ago, we were all at my Mothers house in Pennsylvania and my step dad was showing me some of his collection of antique firearms that were made in Pennsylvania. One was an old flintlock the had the town he was born in as it's origin. But the one that fascinated me was a Sharps Pepperbox. I guess Brad noticed my fascination because the next Christmas there was one from him under the tree! Then the Cental Texas wildfires came and burned my house and most of my possessions. The Sharps was gone. This year, at our early Christmas gathering, my wife handed me a box. In the box was a 1847 vintage 22 short Sharps Pepper box! Showing age, but mechanical tight and fully functional. My wife is a keeper for sure!
