Walt Longmire Posted April 20, 2020 Share Posted April 20, 2020 I'm ordering the steel for a new roof on my remote cabin tomorrow. I helped my son haul out steel for his place on Saturday. Also hauled in a bunch of treated wood for his new deck. We can have a construction party out there. I've been wanting a steel roof there for a long time so I don't have to shovel snow. But I have been delaying it because it's nice to be able to collect water from the roof as the snow melts. Our spring is usually pretty dry from breakup till mid June. I have gutters and rain barrels. We'll be keeping an eye out for a nice shiny black bear also.
