This "play with words", reminds me of the day my Wife and Daughter became Honorary Marines in the 3rd Battalion, 3rd Marines.  "Americas Battalion".

This is part of the "Certification" documents presented to her and My Daughter in a dusty rock quarry, just south of the Boarder town of Khafji.

Thought ya might enjoy a little,  "Marine Humor"...back in 1990.

Upon Arrival in the Saudi Arabian Theater of Operations (Operation Desert Shield), 3rd Battalion 3rd Marines, "America's Battalion," reorganized, rearmed, and equipped itself for desert warfare.  Shortly thereafter, the battalion deployed to a forward defensive position, prepared to give and receive battle...

After 215 years at the forefront of our nation's most difficult situations, we, America's force in readiness, the first to fight, the few, the proud, were found to be unprepared, outmaneuvered, baffled and nearly beaten to our very knees...you see, in Saudi, there are Flies...LOTS and Lots of Flies.

After trying several expedient methods to combat our foes (up to and including planning for tactical nuclear weapons), we were almost ready to admit defeat.

Fortunately, from deep within the empty quarter, came a heroine; clear-eyed, tenacious, determined and wise in the ways of the desert.  (It's said that she has a Bedouin heritage).

****** ******** came forth with the key to unlock us from our misery.

Upon her own initiative, and at great personal risk and expense, she procured, delivered and outfitted this organization with 500, M1A1 (Stealth)  wrist-guided flying insect destruction devices...(NATO Code: "Terminator"),  numbers sufficient to allow our Marines and sailors to stop the momentum of the enemy assault and regain the initiative...and our pride.

******, you are to be commended for your attention to duty, peerless devotion and valor.  Your actions are in keeping with the highest traditions of the United States Marine Corps, and the entire Naval service...We sincerely thank you.  Semper Fidelis.
