Has anyone tried playing with the Nikon Prostaff 5?  I remember when the Prostaff was the low end of their line.  Apparently, they upped their game with the 5 for LD bigger bores with the usual BDC.  Apparently, some have been putting them on their .338 Lapua with good results.  I was watching a couple of videos where the presenter would take the Savage 110 Stealth model and come close to the 1,000 yard mark.  It intrigued me that 400.00 or so in glass from Nikon and Savage paired could get to the mark.  I ma not knocking Savage there are four around here.  I realize you could through some serious money at the HK Ballista, but it will be 3 years and I will have known my wife most of her life.  I know that would lead to problems.  Now, I hear the Savage recoils like a full house 12 gauge.  I can handle that still, just not all day.
