PNWguy
On all my Glocks, I always replace the factory piece with a factory extended slide stop. But on the Gen 5 guns, with the ambidextrous slide stop, the extended version adds unnecessary width to a carry gun if you are right-handed. I've found aftermarket slide stops with both extended, but seems like it would be a good idea if someone offered one that had only the appropriate side extended. Anyone seen one? windowasher
Can you post a pic? Are you talking about the slide release lever?

I Am Groot!
If I may suggest, placing the inappropriately extended portion in a vise and closing the vise. It will definitely flatten the portion you would like to have flattened.
