fortyofforty
The New York Times thinks its role is to lecture us, and President Trump, on the difference between climate and weather. Of course, every hot summer, we are bombarded with stories about climate change. We are constantly told it is the hottest day this or the warmest day that. Does the Times jump in? Nope. That fits its narrative. Quote Climate refers to how the atmosphere acts over a long period of time, while weather describes what’s happening on a much shorter time scale. The climate can be thought of, in a way, as the sum of long periods of weather. It’s Cold Outside. Cue the Trump Global Warming Tweet.

fortyofforty
Remember, to the Fa-Left, the colder it gets, the more it proves manmade global warming. They blame "extreme" weather trends on humans, so they win no matter what the weather does. It's fine to talk about weather when you're blaming weather on manmade global warming, but it's wrong to speak about weather when you're poling fun at manmade global warming. While scientists routinely find themselves explaining that day-to-day weather patterns are not the same as long-term climate trends, they also widely agree that human-caused climate change is exacerbating extreme weather. tsmo1066
According to Al Gore's original predictions in "Earth in the Balance", isn't New York City supposed to be under 20 feet of water by now?
janice6
NYC is betting on GW. The rest of us remember being taught in school that during the major global glacial period, NY was covered by 1,000 foot high glacier. Don't ask for help this time, we don't care anymore.
