  1. The ninth anniversary of Okie's passing is coming up, on 8 July. https://www.facebook.com/groups/2221459263/permalink/10159915841379264/
  2. Back in 2006 or 2007, when I still owned Glock Talk, I added a GT Group to my FB account. After I sold GT, I forgot about the Group and it apparently has drifted rutterless for a decade. One of the group members recently contacted me about all the spam on the group. I wasn't even sure what group he was talking about, at first. I went in and checked and there was still a GT Group on my FB account and I was still the admin. The majority of the content there was spam, of one sort or another. So, instead of just shutting down the group, I repurposed it for TBS. So, TBS now has a FB Group. I'm not sure how many of the old members are active and how many will stick around after the change, but I am going to try to revamp the Group. I will tie it to TBS and some content from here will get posted there. Anyway, if you FaceBook and would care to joing the group, here is a link: https://www.facebook.com/groups/2221459263
  3. I just got passed by a scooter low rider. It was only a low rider though because the guy on it weighed at least 550 pounds, maybe more. The guy was wearing shorts, flip-flops and a voluminous wife-beater billowing around him. No glasses, no helmet. No apparent caution. The bike was wound up to the breaking point and going 45mph or so. Fast enough for a hell of a mess. A guy doesn’t get old pushing his luck like that.
  4. I've always loved butterfly knives and Böker products, so I was excited when this knife came out. It is nicely designed and very well made. The lock is as good as I've ever had on a butterfly knife. This knife comes with a nylon soft-side case and its original packaging. This is a beautiful knife. Type: Pocket Knife Engraving: Yes Brand: Boker Plus Overall Length: 9.29 in Blade Length: 4.21 in Blade Thickness: 0.12 in Weight: 5.04 oz Blade Material: D2 Handle Material: G10 Opening: Manual Lock Type: Balisong Color: Black Blade Color: Uncoated Click Here To Donate
  5. The Buck 891 Spear Point 5.5" fixed-blade Combat Knife is another favorite of mine. The knife fits well in the hand and the contouring on the G-10 grip panels gives a firm, no-slip purchase. I like the grind of the blade and the knife's overall size and shape. It is a basic knife, but it would be a damned capable knife to have, in almost any situation. Buck GCK Spear Point #0891BKS Blade: Spear Point, Cerakote Sniper Grey 5160 steel Length: 5 1/2" (14.0 cm) Thickness: 0.200" Overall: 10 3/4" (27.3 cm) Weight: 9.9 oz (280.7 g) Handle: Black G10 Sheath: Injection molded polypropylene with heavy duty polyester, MOLLE compatible, in black. 6. The Cobratec Renegade is a stout knife. I've always liked a fix blade knife with a thick blade. This one was well built. The grind work and grip fitting was done very nicely. The knife comes with its sheath and original box. The Blade Renegade is full tang construction with a G10 handle. The knife includes a Kydex sheath. All CobraTec Knives are backed by a LIFETIME WARRANTY. 6 inch 440C Stainless Steel Blade 6 mm Thickness 5.5 inch Handle Full Tang Construction 11.5 inch in total length Click Here To Donate
  7. The Glock G19 is a barely used pistol, with 3 15-round magazines. It is a Gen III pistol. It was offered as a prize on a previous fundraiser, but the winner generously donated it back to the site. Click Here To Donate
  8. Hi folks. It is that time again. TBS's coffers are low and I am going to try to raise some cash to keep the lights on. The fundraiser will run between now and July 22nd. The winners will be chosen on the evening of July 29th. I really hate having to run these fundraisers as much as some of you probably dislike seeing them, but they keep the doors open here. I want everyone who participates how much I appreciate the support. I want you ALL to know how much I appreciate and enjoy your participation here. The prize list: 1st Prize is a Glock G19, with three 15-round magazines. 2nd Prize is a Cobratec Renegade R440CTNS knife. 3rd Prize is a Buck 891 Spear Point 5.5" Combat Knife & sheath. 4th Prize is a Böker Plus Tactical Big D2 Balisong Knife. I'll include pics and info in posts below. Here is a link to the Donations page: https://theboresite.com/donate/make-donation/ Thanks again. Eric

    WTF vehicles

The engine at least is a thing of beauty. That is the Lincoln flathead V-12 that drove that fabled fifties father to drinkin’.
