Dric902 Posted January 23, 2019 Share Posted January 23, 2019 That scribes used a small and very sharp knife to cut the end of quills for a nib, and to sharpen them when they got dull. when they made a mistake on parchment they could erase it by scraping it off with this same small, very sharp.........pen knife.
