Weird Song Censoring

I was listing to an Everlast song earlier on the radio. The song was What It’s Like. There is a line in the song that goes something like, “he pulled out a chrome .45, talked some **** and wound up dead.”

not unexpectedly, the word ‘****’ was blanked out. I thought it was overkill to blank out the whole phrase, ‘talked some ****...’ instead of just the one word, but whatever. What was really weird though was that they also blanked out, ‘chrome .45...’ what the hell. What possible reason could they have for blanking out the kind of gun? This **** is getting silly.

Control by emotion is regenerative.  Someone else will always have more "emotional" response than you.  Not long, and the whole song in unacceptable.

In "our" day, a popular French song was banned from the air because of the sound of the tale it told in French.
