Unions take seasonal workers' entire paychecks

Wow this is cold.

"BOSTON (CBS) – Sheila O’Malley of Charlestown couldn’t believe it when she opened her paycheck from her seasonal job at UPS. “I was shocked,” she told the I-Team. She worked 41 hours that week, many of them during the overnight, and ended up with just $14.52.

Sheila assumed it was a mistake and the money would be refunded. In part, because Sheila, like other thousands of other seasonal part time UPS workers, signed an agreement to pay the $500 Teamsters union initiation fee in $32.00 weekly installments. But UPS told her it wasn’t a mistake. A spokesperson for UPS told the I-Team, “Local 25 reversed this long standing practice by rescinding this policy.”"

Well, they are seasonal, the union gots to get paid and if they are only going to work 3 weeks they would only get $96,  this way they get to shaft them for the full $500.  I love it, maybe it will make these people realize but a bunch of bloodsucking leaches the unions are.

Not only that, but I imagine quite a large number of federal employees had already scheduled vacation during the holidays.  Besides that how many have forgotten the 13 day shutdown during the last administration.

WRONG!

He said he would shut down the Government if the Democrats refused to support Border Security.  THEY refused.  71% of Americans want border security.  He is doing exactly as he said he would do during his campaign, Stop the infestation of Illegal  aliens entering this country.

As for Government workers getting their paycheck stolen by President Trump, remove head from behind.

All essential government employees will be payed as usual.

Any furloughed non-essential employees will  get payed after the shutdown, plus they will be payed for hours NOT Worked.  In other words a increase in their accrued Payed Time Off. There is not a single non-essential Federal Employee that is not enjoying the hell out of this paid vacation.

You are as lost as last year's Ishtar egg.  I worked that Border for 5 years.  It is all a bunch of lies to make one party look bad over the other.  Shutdowns means the guys that put their lives on the line every day, don't get a paycheck.  Secretaries go home and get a free vacation.  They also claim unemployment on top of it.  I blame Trump for putting the people on the Border out to dry keeping you and everyone safe, comfortable and happy, including himself.  The money is there, it could have been allocated many times.  He is shitting on the little guy, whom he never gave two fucks about in the first place to try to make everyone else look bad.  As usual, by firing the intelligent non-yes men around him, he has screwed the people who risk their lives in the name of glorifying himself.  **** him,  BTW, enjoy your SS checks and warm comfy bed,

The government was shut down because Trump, upon signing the last continuing resolution, stated he would no longer sign continuing resolutions.  That and border security.  Ole Chuck U. Schumer said border security is non-negotiable.  Schumer owns the shutdown.

As to federal employees getting paid or not.  That I'm not sure of.  I've heard reports they are all simply getting a paid vacation, or they'll work for a deferred paycheck, or they're not getting paid.  It seems nobody knows wtf is going on.  But I'm of the mindset that they all will eventually get paid.

With all that said, it's only a partial shutdown.  80% of the government will function as normal.  AFAIK only non-essential government employees are affected.

Actually, the non-essentials are the ones who do the real work.  The essential workers have just locked themselves into the bureaucracy and designated themselves essential so they don’t ever have to do any real work.  A real Catch-22.

This is the Safety Shutdown.  It's about the safety of the country.  Democrats don't want a wall because a wall cannot be turned off, cannot be overruled, cannot be overridden.  Once built, it starts working.  Democrats know their voter base for the next century is brown skinned and speaks Spanish.  If Democrats don't pander to the Latinos, they might not keep hold of their votes with the same certainty as they counted on the black vote over the past half century.  As long as Democrats block common sense border security, let the Safety Shutdown continue.

They are pandering to the illegals that shouldn't be here or voting anyway.

There are a lot of Latinos that came here legally, or have been here from the beginning, and many of them want the wall to be built before this place becomes overrun and a craphole the same as where the illegals came from.
