That is an incredible and illogical jump. I did not advocate anyone breaking the law. But, if they were driving you or your kids, I might be okay with it. Moshe
I suspect there are two elements going on here: 1. Jealousy. People with chronic pain and illness (no pun intended), get prescribed Opiods. They assume we are all getting high. We are not. Like all drugs there are side effects, and it only dulls the pain after taking it for awhile. No one who goes to a legitimate pain specialist for legitimate reasons is there to get stoned. 2.They are tired of all the nasty weed that I used to apprehend (let's call it skunk weed), in gas tanks (that will give you a headache smelling gas and weed soaked in gas and duct tape), bales duct taped in a cube in a box under just about every Greyhound coming from the Border. Gas tankers with nothing but weed filling them. Or, a bunch of nasty old clothes thrown over a semi-load of weed. They want the fresh stuff, home grown in the United States.
EdTracker
Rest assured there is a weedometer in development and it will be integrated into a LEO's kit. The big question is going to be "how high is too high".

MtnBiker
Sure. Encourage more people to do things that impair their critical thinking and creative processes. It's about all that will give them a leg-up on the spread of robotics. BUT, it will make them more dependent on those government handouts. So they will continue to be good dem voters. However, my biggest objection is the lack of ability to ID and prosecute stoned drivers. I hope you're correct. I have seen some really hazardous driving by stoners. EdTracker
MB, it is definitely in progress. I have read that prototypes are being tested but weed is a bit more tricky to quantify. Seems like the country is already stratified WRT drugs. I'm not sure that legalizing anything will make it better.
