Don't get alert someone replied to my posts

I don't get or see an alert to replies in the top left when I start or post in another thread.

Is that a site issue or do I need to do something?

Click on the 'world' icon (notifications) up at the top.

Click on right side 'settings'

Check what you want.

I don't get a notification at the top of the TBS page unless someone actually quotes me.

I will get an email about every new post in something I'm following.  

Maybe that's how it's supposed to work.  I'm not sure what I could check or uncheck in the settings beyond what I've already done to be notified about additional comments in a followed thread.

When I log onto TBS, there might be 20 new comments in each of 20 threads I'm following, but I'll never know it unless I go check my email folder.  Seems odd that only quoted messages appear as notifications on page.

Do what rayzer007 posted from the "HOME" page; works with either/both themes. 

If you changed your theme to CP instead of the default, you can change it from any page at the top right under the bell icon; select "notification settings". CP theme only has the globe top left on the home page.

Thanks, that did work.

Taking two seconds to think, might have worked for me, too.

I was only looking at the 10 selection choices at the top of the screen.  Scrolling down to ALL THE OTHER CHOICES doesn't hurt either.

 

I'll leave this here in case my idiocy helps someone else.   ? 

I think my problem will be resolved.
