NY Woman sentenced to jail for falsely accusing two men of raping her

Apparently in NY, a girl has been sentenced to a year in jail for falsely accusing two men of raping her.

Maybe this will be a trend.  Although it seems to have messed the two guys up pretty bad they are at least getting their names somewhat cleared.

The Senior Assistant State's Attorney put it best:

“But with the evidence we had against Miss Yovino, we do believe this disposition is both fair and appropriate," Messina said. “Many true victims of sexual assault are often disbelieved, but that is because of cases like this and the impact they have on public perceptions. Miss Yovino’s actions are a disservice to those true victims, in addition to the two young men whose lives were greatly affected, and that was not something that could have been ignored.”

Rape can be hard to prove or disprove. Best to just keep it in yer britches. Women sit on the most destructive weapons on the planet. Men have two heads and only enough blood to run one at a time.

Yovino should have been sentenced for the same amount of time her "rapists" would have gotten, had they actually committed the crime and been convicted of it.  She got off too easy.  I hope they sue her for every penny she has and will ever earn in civil court.

I think it was a plea deal.

Probably best for everyone really, because if she ADMITS she made it up, it exonerates the two guys she accused.  Otherwise she can still sit in jail, claim she was raped and that the two guys got away with it, blame Donald Trump, and become a Democratic senator candidate in a few years.
