They need to admit the truth, he was not legally in the U.S. on any kind of visa. He committed identity theft to obtain employment. His stolen identity passed e-Verify screening.   Next thing you know some liberal will open a go fund me account for him.

I can see it happening. Liberals pay for his trial and he becomes a hero to the mentally ill socialist democrats.

From the Chicago Tribune news story-- "Trump also has held events at the White House with members of "angel families," whose relatives were killed by immigrants."

Wait a minute... are the angel families relatives of those who were killed by "immigrants" or were they killed by ILLEGAL immigrants? If they know who the murderers were in each of those cases, wouldn't they also know their immigration status? By saying that Angel Families are those whose relatives were killed by "Immigrants" that's ASSUMING that their legal status is not known. The Chicago Tribune is printing information without any basis in fact.

Why is it that the news media always tries to blur the distinction between Legal and Illegal immigrants? The whole reason why there is a process set up for letting people into the country whether on a temporary or a permanent basis is to determine if they have a criminal background. otherwise if we don't check, we're providing a safe haven for those wanted for crimes and escaping from justice in their own country.

But more to the point, regardless of how the news media is trying to slant the story the question of this particular individual's immigration status is not particularly relevant to the question of guilt or innocence since eh suspect has allegedly confessed to the killing and the evidence appears to show that he  committed the crime.
