Haven't bought anything in half a year. Last hand gun was the P229 Sig Legion in .357SIG.

If ya'll wouldn't mind throwing in some suggestions, that would be really great.

Some pointers...

- can be a wheel gun or semi, no rifle

- not blued

- price range $300 to $700

- no specific need like carry or hunting

- new or year 2000+ firearm, I'm not into vintage

For suppressor hosts I really like my FNX-45 Tactical and my CZ SP01 Tactical Urban Grey. I also like the VP-40.

If you don't have suppressors it doesn't matter. Now you have an excuse to get one.

Of course, you need to fill out the Glock collection before branching out. If you don't have a G41 MOS now is the time.

When you are not sure if this was a movie quote or some lyrics and you throw it at Google just a few minutes later.

Thanks guys!

So far we are at:

  • CZ 75
  • P-07 (much rather take the CZ 75 in satin stainless steel)
  • S&W pre-lock 686 (always wanted a 686+)
  • Ruger GP-100 (own one in .327, but wouldn't mind the 6" version or the new 10mm, even better the .44 Special)
  • CZ Rami (new paid attention to this one, just pulled it up and loving it)
  • FNX-45 Tactical (nice suggestion, but my first FN needs to be a Five Seven)
  • CZ SP01 Tactical Urban Grey (looks great as well, will have to watch some videos on YouTube)
  • VP-40 (I really need a HK, looks a bit like my Walther PPQ M2, I will look around at HK for sure)
  • G41 MOS (not a fan of red dots, let alone on a slide, also own the G40 already)
  • Beretta APX (love my 92FS, shoots like a dreak, the APX looks promising, will alos look into it)
  • SW 66-8 2.75”
  • 629 (in .44 Mag would be nice!)

Already plenty of ideas I didn't come up with.

Not trying to talk you out of the Rami. But for info it’s like a Glock 26 size and the PCR/P01 are similar to Glock 19 size.

Isnt it a fun problem when you KNOW you NEED a new gun, but the muse just hasn’t told you which one is the one you need? I’m in that spot right now too.

If you want a nice revolver, there aren't many that were made after the year 2000 especially not by Smith and Wesson. Notable exceptions are the Kimber 6 shot 357 snubbie and the Ruger 6 shot GP-100 in 10mm and the Ruger 7 shot 357, Also the standard Ruger Redhawk has always been an excellent gun and they're still being made today. The Super Redhawk are overly large and clunky looking.  All double action Rugers need trigger work but a skilled gunsmith with a wolff spring kit can make them almost as nice as an older Smith and Wesson and at least as good as one of the newer ones.

Everyone should own at least one 44 magnum revolver. I would also recommend a Gen 4 Glock 20 in 10mm auto. The 10mm is the magnum of semi-autos and you can also shoot the cheaper 40 S&W ammo out of the same gun. Another extremely versatile Glock is the Glock 23 which can shoot 40, 357 Sig and 9mm with very few changes. The same is true of the larger G22 but I find the G23 to be a more nicely proportioned sized gun that can be carried concealed more easily if so desired.

So, I’m the acknowledged expert on butchering Huey Lewis’s lyrics. Cool. :crylikeender:
