" Boynton Beach police arrested the teen Saturday night after he was seen on an Instagram video holding the AR-15 in the air as he danced to rap music, officials said.

Investigators said the social media video gave them grounds for a search warrant. The rifle was found under the teen's mattress, according to authorities.

The deputy told police the items, including two loaded magazine, a Taser and a ballistic helmet, were taken from his car while it was parked outside a shopping center. "

I haven't read if they ever recovered any of the NFA items that were stolen from some police vehicles parked at home. At least one was a FA and a few short barrels.  It got so bad; at least a few counties changed policy to no guns left in police cars overnight.

This brazen hussy stole it during the day during a call.

Oh come on! The judge will throw that one out right away when his lawyer argues that his social media appearance clearly demonstrate that he is very immature!

Seriously, I agree and think that the threat of penal law has to deter crime and for that it has to set clear examples. When you look at the extreme rise of incarcerations since 1980, a rise of almost 500%, the problem cannot be solved that easily, though, especially when you consider the cost of incarceration. I also doubt the federal crime statistics, that claim that our society got so much safer lately. I know that Dallas PD got reprimanded by the FBI for grossly under reporting crime.  Our well paid representatives, the politicians of all levels, also failed to properly address this issue ....

Last year;

Authorities are investigating after an M4 assault rifle was stolen from a University of Central Florida police detective’s unmarked department car.

This break-in comes less than a week after a Orange County deputy sheriff’s car and equipment were stolen. On Saturday night, the deputy reported his undercover car missing from Fun Spot at 5551 Del Verde Way.

While the car was found a short time later, a sheriff’s office badge, submachine gun, pistol, bulletproof vest, ammunition and two magazines were among the items missing, according to authorities. The deputy’s privately owned handgun also was gone.

What in the FL hell is a University cop doing with an M4 (I am assuming they used the correct nomenclature here and it is the select fire kind),and sub-machine gun??????? Are frat parties getting that bad?

edit - opps sub-machine gun was Sheriffs Office...but sub-machine gun???? are they prepping for Red Dawn in CA? I thought the Commies already have CA
