Walt Longmire
I fell a half dozen birch trees today, and the moose have already found them. Bait. Pics this time. 2

AK_Stick
Don’t get moose like that around my house since I got the malamutes. Guess they look too much like wolves. They’ll hassle other dogs, but they give my yard a wide berth. Even the big bulls.

A few years ago a pack of dogs had attacked a cow with 2 calves and had killed one calf and were after the other. I stepped in with my H&R semi auto .22 mag and laid waste to the dogs. You should have heard the noises that cow was making. After the mayhem subsided, she headed my way. I talked calmly to her. She and the surviving calf turned and walked away. The next morning they were in my front yard and she was sniffing noses with my 120 pound shepherd lab mix. She used to hang around in my area and would drop 2 calves every year. She's gone now, but others have replaced her.
