RenoF250
I was just in Wal-Mart and they have Halloween **** out already WTF? It is over 2 months away. Who is decorating or buying stuff for it now? Crackheads. I bet they get people to buy it because it is there, they take it home and forget about it and then buy more closer to Halloween. 1
PATCHMAN
Let's get past Labor Day first, alright?!?! I still 3 or 4 boxes of girl scout cookies (Samoas) in my locker at work. Bought them back in March or April, whenever they were being pushed.
DWARREN123
Soon they will put it out after Independence Day! Wait till next month and Thanksgiving stuff will be out then Christmas stuff the next month!
Huaco Kid
Nowadays, Halloween spending closely rivals Christmas.
janice6
I have two daughters that think Halloween is the most fun holiday. They build extravagant displays in the house and outside, just for the amusement of others. My neighbor across the street has displays in their yard that are marvels of ingenuity.
Lagamor
My wife’s favorite holiday. We got not one but two fog machines and all the lights. I live in a “transition neighborhood” I always see several small children so poor the don’t have costumes of any type. You should see their eyes when I pull out that big witches caldron over flowing with the good candy and tell them they can have as much as they want. Not many kids actually go door to door and trick n’ treat anymore. Damn shame me and my hooligan friends used to fill up pillow cases! Huaco Kid
I've got that mask in movie quality. Did you know that it was a very low-budget movie and when they sent assistants to find "a mask", they went to the studio gift shop and came back with a Capt. Kirk mask. They were told that there was no way they could use a "Captain Kirk". So they pulled the eyebrows and sideburns off of it. They were still told, "No." Then they spray painted it white. The director decided, "Meh. Good enough."
Huaco Kid
But you can't drink while you're wearing it and it's hot as hell. When I first got it, my wife said, "Don't even think about wearing it up to the bedroom. Even if I'm 99% sure it's you, you're still getting shot." 1

johnbt
I bought a big bag of Brach's candy corn at Dollar General the other day. Only $2. I know some people hate the stuff, but it's our favorite. It was gone by the next morning.

Gaston_Convert
Costco has their Halloween stuff out, too. It's becoming a big deal. Sadly though, Thanksgiving is often overlooked.

The best I can tell, the words Wal-Mart and Crackheads are nearly synonymous with one another. I wouldn't be a bit surprised to walk into wal-mart tomorrow and see jack-o-lantern and crack pipe ornaments on a fake Christmas tree.
crockett
By the way, the new new Halloween movie will be out just in time. Seems like they are going back to the 80s style versions. Looks promising!
DrB
Halloween was a big event here back in the day. Was our favorite party time.. Great costume.. Junkyard bent up steering wheel, headlights, tail lights hanging from electrical wires and various auto parts. With the crash makeup. Designated Driver.... Jade Falcon
I love Halloween. But I too think it's dropping in popularity. I don't think my parents had a single kid show up to their house in the past 2 years, and they live in a cul-de-sac in the middle of a middle/upper-middle-class suburb. All the kids have grown up and moved away. A damned shame. But at least we still have our annual Pumpkin Weigh-off!?
