Oneshotonepill
I've worked with humans that couldn't figure that out. I'd hire that goddamn bird to do their jobs. Maybe he wouldn't spend the day on his cell phone. 1 1
janice6
When compared to school children, they found the ability to solve this type of problem only occurred in children after about third grade! Peng
One of my obsessions growing up in the woods and swamps was to shoot a crow. Their loud cackling is very annoying, and they know it. I spent years in those woods with my Daisy 880 pellet gun stalking them. I can attest to how smart they are because the score when I gave up the game was crows - 9,245, me - 0. The best shot I got was when I stacked 7-8 BB's in the chamber and shot the gun like a scattergun. Even then the distances were extreme. I simply could never get close enough to them, they always knew I was there. Never knew the bastards had problem solving smarts.

No need to figure anything out. Edited August 16, 2018 by Citra47
minervadoe
The way the term bird brain demeans something's intelligence does not do it justice. If you take into account the fact that a bird's diminutive brain needs to articulate a very light body mass (hollow bones, feathers, etc) they actually end up being relatively high in the spectrum of animal intelligence. Appalachained
Do you know why you’ve never seen a dead crow on the road? Its because there is always a lookout on the power line that warns “CAR” “CAR”. Colonel Sanders before the chicken business had a crow that he would charge people to watch it do tricks. BTW Harlan Sanders led an interesting life. Edited August 16, 2018 by Appalachained
gwalchmai
My Uncle Clifford had a crow named Joe. Joe the Crow would hop up on Clifford's shoulder and pick Pall Malls out of the pack in Clifford's shirt pocket, then hold it to Clifford's mouth.
