Politics Help me out guys. At what point did the Democrat Party

At what point did the "Democrat Party" go to court to change their name to "Democratic Party"?  I know for a short time a couple years ago the news media was saying they wanted to be called the "Democratic Party" but I don't ever remember them getting an official name change.

Just curious. I remember when the ComiDems were telling everyone they wanted to be called Democratic rather than Democrat. All the sudden everyone is calling them Democratic (and I agree there is NOTHING democratic about them) including Fox News. I didn't remember a court request to change their name, so I guess we can just call them any name we want...………..and, to me, ComiDems seems very appropriate.  Soooooooooooo, ComiDems it is.

The ComiDems seem to have become the party of the "Mentally Disturbed" and the disturbed part seems to be spreading.

It seems the Democrat -or Democratic-party has gone completely off the rails.  I think this really started in 2000 when Al Gore and the hanging chads lost to GWB.  They would have treated GW the same way as Trump-except-for 9/11.  Once that occurred they couldn't take a chance on going all out on GW.  But once the War seemed to be going badly, the Dems went back to their old ways.  They got Zero elected, then sat on their hands for 8 years.  Trump was a surprise victor, and the socialists that make up the fringe base of the party started to take over.  They are now  a sorry excuse for the party they once were.
