The officer's car has to get within a few feet of the suspect; the road cannot have any significant dips, potholes, ruts, curves, severe grades, etc. for proper use; and once deployed, the suspect's vehicle can dictate what happens to the officer in the police vehicle. Example: a suicidal suspect could turn the steering wheel and pull the police vehicle over a mountain ledge/into a body of water/etc., a 4wd vehicle simply needs to engage the front axle and keep the accelerator floored, as does a front wheel drive auto and the drive wheels are not disabled. ASH Posted July 18, 2018 Share Posted July 18, 2018 if a car is chasing you slam the brakes ,you drive on while car in back has radiator and pulleys and engine slammed to hell and it disables the car . you drive on . when i was 16 back in them days we all had beater cars lol . buddy of mine was seeing this girl and found out she had a 19 year old boyfriend well we were headed to town ,and this dude dropped in behind us swerving ,honking getting up beside us , etc , my buddy had a land sled dodge ,huge . in the summer at the lake we put lawn chairs and cooler on hood lol any way the guy bumped his bumper and backed off were going at a pretty good clip and he just slams brakes and we looked back and his car was in the ditch smoking , my buddy ended marrying that girl lol Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
