FullClip
What's the longest you've been away from home? Seems like every job I take keeps me away longer. Been here 14 months and have only been home twice, once for 4 days and once for a week. Money is good, butsure miss the house. By the way, jail time don't count!!?

Walt Longmire
This is why I quit doing turnarounds in refineries along the west coast. I don't own an awesome property in Alaska so I can spend months at a time living in some flea bag hotel in California.

F14Scott
About four months at sea, with port calls every 3-4 weeks for phone calls. This was just before the boat got the Internet, so the other option was snail mail flown on and off via the COD, with about a week turnaround.I actually think it was better for the wives and for us service members, because both groups could focus on the important stuff. Now, with email, the pilots have to plan for the mission while trying to get the broken refrigerator at home repaired, online.Sent from my phone using Tapatalk

Hannie Caulder
Never more than maybe a couple months when I was in school at UGA. And even then Mommy and Daddy would make the trip to Athens for every home game to watch me cheer on the sidelines at Sanford Stadium.
