ROKU Ultra

I have an Ultra. I think the only way to turn it off is to unplug it. If you hit the power button on the remote it will eventually go to sleep if there is nothing streaming, but I don’t think it’s actually powered down.

I always back out of any apps and return to the home screen before hitting the remote power button, otherwise you’ll continue to stream and chew up data even if your TV is off.

I don't believe my Roku's turn off, but they do go to sleep. Like pretty much every other computer, tablet, phone and other device in my home.

Mine puts up a screensaver if you leave it idle long enough.  I don't think it ever really shuts off.

Mine isn't the Ultra though.  I like it but if I get another one it will have an Ethernet port.

I have the ultra as well( I got it when Apple TV didn't have prime). I have a screen saver as well, and an ethernet port is a must have for me. I wire everything I can.

I screwed up when I ordered mine but it works fine.  But the next one will have an ethernet port.

I bought my Ultra because of the Ethernet port. I wanted the most reliable connection to my router.
