People who didn’t bother me for a couple years, now won’t leave me alone because their kids want to have destination weddings to “Get Past Covid”.

I didn’t go to San Diego, didn’t go to San Francisco and not going to Las Vegas just to see some kid I haven’t met since they were in diapers get married!

I don't blame you. I used to love to travel but since 9/11 I've grown to hate air travel and I used to like road trips but now I have really bad night vision especially if it's raining and there's a lot of road glare. Also I really don't like driving in winter anymore except locally now that I live in snow country even with a 4 wheel drive vehicle, and Plane travel sucks worse in the winter because of flight cancellations due to poor visibility.

And when I lived in L.A. I liked going to Vegas but hadn't been there in a long time but when I went the in 2014 I didn't recognize the place and didn't know my way around anymore and I'm never going back there or to L.A. or San Fransisco And not only that, but living on a fixed income in the Biden economy I couldn't afford travel accommodations, rental cars, or the cost of any form of transportation.

So tell your friends that you'd love to go but that you need to save your money in case Biden gets re-elected and there would be a likely total economic collapse with a continuation of his policies.

I just take it as work.

Have to be at airport early (often 2 or 3am), and get through the tsa bullshit. 

After that,, it's an easy day at work.  Sleep several hours at a time (wake up with a severely crooked neck). 

I traveled through the whole debacle.  For a bit, I saw whole populations in absolute panic.  I didn't play along.

At one point,  only me and two other people were on a several-hour flight on one of the big (triple row) jets.  (mandatory masking hadn't even been imagined yet)

The two other people looked like Asian students.  Both wearing full hazmat suits, with hoods.

Fortunately for me, my oldest says she's going to get married in our backyard, or elope.  The youngest says she's not getting married until she can find a boyfriend that comes with an owner's manual.

I like hotels. I've always wanted to live in a hotel with really good room service and have a maid clean up after me every day.

Yes but there's nowhere to go on a cruise ship but to another part of the ship. and you're stuck there with all the same people with nowhere to go but some tourist trap port selling overpriced souvenirs. But in a Hotel you can have transportation and go places like gun shops and shooting ranges or places in the woods and do things that are more fun than what you can do on cruise ships.

Some of the cruise ships have trap shooting on the back deck..............

May be urban legend, but I’ve heard of senior citizens who have chosen to live in hotels and especially on cruise ships rather than in assisted living.

My mom's nursing home bill was $9K a month. Assisted living costs less, but it's still high as a cat's back.
