The elephant in the room

As to Florida, it is clear that most of the people that recently moved here were Republicans fleeing Dem utopias.

Regarding the national level, I don't think there is a single contributing factor. It is a bunch of stuff happening at the same time. It will take days to sort it out.

I welcome DeSantis running in 2024.

Things sure didn't work out as I'd hoped up here in Maine.   I used to joke about "being trapped behind enemy lines" in the past.  But it doesn't seem as funny to me anymore.

Sorry for your LOSS

Same here in New York.  I saw a twitter post from Ben Shapiro stating (paraphrasing) the red wave turned into the red wedding.  Absolutely depressing what's become of this country.

Oh look, I get 4 more years of Gretch the Wretch!  At least that means she won't be starting in a federal level appointed position next week, where she could screw the rest of the country (and not just Michigan, Ohio, and Canada, the way she has here already).  And it has been pointed out to me that if Dixon had won, there is nothing she could have done to stop the downward spiral int eh MI economy for a least 2 years, and probably longer... meaning Dixon would have been blamed for the long term effects of Whitless's policies, and we'd get stuck with a Dem governor again when the economy didn't recover instantaneously.  Whatever democretin got elected would then get the benefit of whatever recovery Dixon's policies would have had, and we'd all the screwed again.

Oh, and all the asinine Props passed, so now you don't need to provide any ID when voting anymore, because the Dems wanted the ability to cheat more easily than they already did.  We also now have legal abortion up to birth (no parents need be informed even if it is their minor child getting the abortion) and you can't sue anyone for providing one even if their incompetence maims or kills you.  In addition, if your minor child wants to pretend s/he is the opposite gender of his/her actual chromosomes... you can't stop him/her from taking puberty blockers, or hormones, or having his/her parts chopped off...  (and I give it about  months before CPS starts taking kids away from parents if they DO try to stop their 10 year old from doing so).

I hate this state.  I wish I could move.  I'm going to do everything I can to ensure my kids don't stay here, so they don't end up trying to raise families in this cesspit of idiocy.

Why?

Good question. Maybe DDS instead of TDS.

Need to derange over the antics of the left and DOJ. Feds "monitoring" elections is illegal, and blatant election intimidation at best, influencing in reality. A few places gave them the FAFO treatment, but most invited the weasel to dinner.

Maybe I’m too dense, but I don’t see why you hate DeSantis. Didn’t he keep federal observers from polling places?

I don't know why either. Seems like a guy you want in your corner. Ready for the big seat? Dunno, but so many rally haven't been of late.

Florida was one of the Fu&$ Around and Find Out places I was referring to and did so rather publicly. I have no problem with that, but do have a problems with sworn Federal LE blatantly breaking the law, and they know it.

No hate for DeSantis at all, but if he allows himself to be used as a tool to try to stop Trump than he's just a tool of the RINO's and I won't reward their style of play or the game any longer.

Same as I didn't vote for the republican governor in my state. He shut down the state, sent his jackbooted goons after people who dared to defy his illegal orders. Then the RINO's ran a false conservative to split the primary vote and lawfare to target his primary opponents.

I'd rather have a democrat than a back stabbing RINO. I won't take the McConnell slow death plan.

"It is no surprise that Never Trumpers are speaking out against former president in the wake of the “Red Wave That Wasn’t,” but the criticism from Dr. Michael Savage — a longtime supporter of former President Donald J. Trump‘s — deserves to be looked at given the pair’s on-going mutual respect for each other that has lasted for more than a decade.

“I gotta tell you this, and many people are mad at me now. We all know what’s coming. I believe that [Florida GOP Governor Ron] DeSantis is the future of the Republican Party if they are to have a future at all,” the legendary radio host said during his opening monologue on his Thursday podcast..."  https://www.dailywire.com/news/original-trump-backer-michael-savage-desantis-is-the-future-this-is-about-a-nation-not-about-any-man

Wild guess here for a prediction---Trump is going to blast him.

I don't know if you guys have any Democrat friends. Democrats, not Dems. I asked mine after the 2020 election what they thought about Trump and in unison they replied. "He's a punk". Mind you, those are Democrats that do not necessarily vote straight down the ballot.

The following I did not want to see. Trump stopped short of calling DeSantis a RINO. https://www.dailywire.com/news/breaking-trump-launches-unprovoked-attack-on-ron-desantis-for-his-handling-of-covid-pandemic

And then he follows it against Youngkin, https://www.dailywire.com/news/trump-follows-up-attack-on-desantis-with-bizarre-swipe-at-youngkin

He's losing respect because of his antics. And the worst part is that it is all self-inflicted. He didn't have to make those pronouncements.

The hell if I'm voting for him in a primary.

Fwiw, Youngkin responds, "Listen, you all know me, I do not call people names — I really work hard to bring people together — and that’s what we’re working on,” said Youngkin. “That’s not the way I roll and not the way I behave." https://www.dailywire.com/news/republican-governor-glenn-youngkin-brushes-off-criticism-after-trump-swipe

And a top GOP megadonor has his say, "“And for a litany of reasons, I think it’s time to move on to the next generation,” Griffin said of Trump." https://www.dailywire.com/news/top-gop-megadonor-indicates-war-on-woke-ideology-in-schools-backs-desantis-for-president

Fine collection of RINOS and NeverTrumpers...
