Noise canceling headphones. What a rip off!

I asked my wife if she had a set of headphones I could use. She says, "Try these. They are really good noise canceling headphones"

Once again, I admit that I have been living under a rock. I have heard of, but never tried noise canceling headphones, so I took them to give them a shot and YouTubed some Dylan and Springsteen. 

These damned things don't work at all. I could still hear the noisy oral diahrea spewing from their vocal cords! Noise canceling my ass!

I use AirPod Pro second generation use the noise cancellation and it doesn’t work very well.

In ancient times there used to be a big round knob you could twist counter-clockwise to reduce the volume. I don't know if modern tech has something similar.

I usually use some fancy headphone types, especially when doing yard work.  My wife told me I was so behind the times and get some buds.  She likes the dorky Apple pods.

I bought some fancy JBL buds, and the first day had one quit and one fall out at my dock.  Luckily, it took a good bounce and did not end up in the saltwater.
