Stupid old people!

So I sharpened a set of 22 kitchen knives for a member of my congregation. I dropped them off this afternoon. He called me very confused asking why are they so rough? I asked what he meant. I told him they all had smooth razor edges. He said they were all rough as sandpaper.

Then his dad piped in. He said I did a terrible job because the edges were too smooth. He took the out the back of the house and raked every one of them across the bricks to give them “some tooth”.

There might be blood at Dan’s house tonight.

How can the knives have smooth razor edges but be rough as sandpaper at the same time? What's missing here?

Smooth when I dropped them off.

I guess their definition of sharp is different than the rest of us.

Looking at the title, I thought this was about our elected officials in federal government. I now see its not that bad. Pretty close though.
