I was a huge fan and I'm greatly saddened by the news though at his age it's not unexpected. He had a good run. I was about ten years old when "Great balls of fire" came out and me and my 10 year old buddies couldn't believe anyone would be allowed to sing that on the radio. But it was great rock and roll and unlike anything that had ever been done before. "Whole lotta shakin goin on" was also incredible.

Dennis Quaid did a great job of playing Jerry Lee in the movie.

His wife wasn't much older than you back then, when they got married.

I had no idea he was still alive. He had a good run. His music was very influential on the rock scene. RIP
