I'm always leery of politicians who switch parties. Is it truly an awakening, seeing the error of their ways?  Or simply a politically expedient way to stay in power? How many Dems switched to GOP in order to get re-elected and then vote with the Dems anyway?

How many Repubs got "NRA certified" with an A rating (I'm looking at you Gillibrand) only to vote for gun control? Gillibrand got elected as a Republican, then switched to the Dem party when her poll numbers tanked.  Hochul also was endorsed by the NRA, and look at her most recent actions regarding gun control.

I tend to support politicians who have a Conservative voting record history, even more so those with Constitutional Conservative history.

I doubt Ms. Gabbard will run for public office again, as a Democrat or Republican.

If you listen to her, read her stuff and especially watched the presidential primary debates of 2020, it is obvious that she has little in common with the woke hippie Marxists in the Democrat party.

I  like her.

She speaks her mind, thus, she has no future in politics ever again.

NB Ronald Reagan was a Democrat until he was a Republican. but times were very different then.

Believe Mr Reagan has been quoted as saying “I never left the Democrat Party. The Democrat Party left me.”

Keep in mind that Trump was a NY democrat until he wasn't!!!!

And for that reason I was not going to vote for him.  I was all in for Ted Cruz.  But when Trump won the primary, he got my vote because the alternative was much much worse. Looking back I think I made the right choice.  :wink2:
