I can raise enough on my land to feed me and mine and several others as well. We'll work out payment somehow, but I can promise Bill won't get a slim nickle of it, then where will his empire be?

People like him could do so much good with their wealth, trying to make others live the way they want is not good, it's evil.

That's the problem with thinking that you are so much more intelligent than everybody else.  His expertise does not generalize to the real world. Outside of how to manipulate the software industry and amass wealth, he is pretty much a social retard. SERIOUSLY, His ex wife had to teach him how to shower and brush his teeth.   His lack of hygiene and his raving behavior are legendary.  But people have been telling him he's a genius his whole life and now he feels that he knows what's best for the rest of humanity.   And, with his wealth, his meddling and manipulation may be able to effect significant change.  But, this kind of heavy handed social engineering is right out of the socialist playbook.  Forcing people to adopt an arbitrary change due to some theory or other has played out as a failure time and time again.

A free market with the inputs of millions upon millions of people will always be more efficient than the machinations of a few people locked into some paradigm of reality that they are convinced is correct.

A quick Intrawebs search for an article's title typically finds somewhere that it's been re-posted. Like this:

https://ussanews.com/2022/07/28/whos-really-behind-the-war-on-meat-how-bill-gates-is-quietly-transforming-americas-food-industry-from-within/

And this excerpt pretty much hits it on the head (making meat substitutes requires a lot of energy and a meatless diet is not as healthy):

Quote

As Marco Springmann, senior environmental researcher at the University of Oxford puts it, “Lab meat doesn’t solve anything from an environmental perspective, since the energy emissions are so high.”

It turns out, giant labs trying to “grow” meat take up quite a bit of energy.

Robb Wolf, a former Research Biochemist and author who has worked with the Navy’s Special Warfare Resiliency Program, agrees. “It is an outright lie that these plant-based alternatives are better for the environment, or are going to reduce carbon footprint or carbon emissions,” he told The Daily Wire.

Despite overwhelming evidence that it’s nearly impossible to replicate the nutritional characteristics of meat, the narrative began changing. And even though study after study has shown that meatless diets are far more likely to lead to nutrient deficiencies, they have become all the rage in the scientific community.

I watched a video on BBC where they were comparing vegetarian diets to normal diets for sports performance.  Not much of a difference.  But one thing they noted was that processed meats were not good for you and this plant based fake meat was just as bad as processed meat.
