Clock setting

Set your analog clock halfway between standard and daylight time. Then do the mental math each time you glance at it according to the time season. If you set it with 25 minutes rather than 30 minutes off you will be continually wondering which way the stray 5 minutes has to go.

Okay I need an answer.  Did the law pass to keep daylight savings time or not?

The Senate passed it. The House was in disagreement over some of the language in it, then they felt there's other things more important to work on. The last thing I read said they don't expect to do anything with it until fall.

From what I recall, it's not supposed to take effect this year anyway. Even if passed today,  we would fall back again this year, then spring foward for the final time next year.

Can be very interesting in Arizona.

Currently the state does not change to DST. So if you drive from northern New Mexico during DST, your time changes. The Navajo Reservation uses DST, so your time changes again. Out of the Navajo into the Hopi Reservation, your time changes again as Hopi do not use DST. Out of Hopi back into Navajo change back to DST. Then out of Navajo back into Arizona change once more.

I was in a long building, at some industrial place,  and my phone displayed DST at one end of the building, SDT at the other end.

I got to miss all the meetings.
