Yup, time changes a lot of things.  Green Acres was a great show and I had a big crush on Lisa, but my favorite was Mr. Haney.  He had something for everyone.

I only watched a few of these  .....   what the hell was I doing when there were on?

We had our first TV, I think around early 1950's

We didn't get our first TV until 1957. Before that I watched the neibor's TV. My dad was an aeronautical engineer and he didn't wean to get a TV set when they first came out because he said they get much better in just a few years. So the one we finally got had a fairly large screen and was in a large blond wood cabinet and had a record player down below the TV screen. I bought my first record then which was Elvis Presley singing "Teddy Bear". I wanted "Hound Dog" but  the record store didn't have it, it was sold out.

But the true star of the show was Arnold Ziffel the pig.

They had to change pigs every few months because they grow so fast so there were several.

My favorite was Mr. Haney followed by hank Kimbell.

Sarah the phone operator was Hanks mom.

She worked alot telephone operator on green acres, andy griffith and petticoat junction
