Might be some Chinese Space Junk dropping from the sky.  Odds of getting hit are small, but could ruin your day if you're not protected.

Out-of-control Chinese rocket booster will hurtle back to Earth on Sunday and could hit land in inhabited areas - with 88% of the world’s population living under the re-entry zone

  • China launched another module for its new space station 'Tiangong' on July 24
  • But a rocket booster from China's launch is now hurtling back towards the Earth
  • Experts say it's likely to hit Earth early on Sunday, possibly in a populated area

Kind of a clickbait title.

"88% of the Earth's population lives in the possible reentry zone"

Aerospace Corporation said 'there is a non-zero probability' that the debris will land in a populated area – in other words, it's not impossible so it could happen.

Most of the reentry zone at this point is ocean.  More ocean than land from the look of it.

I don't think I'll bother with a hard hat.

What Goes Up Must Come Down

Meaning:

The term “what goes up must come down” is a phrase that means things that rise must eventually return to the earth due to gravity.

Example: Simon accidentally let go of the big balloon his parents had bought for him. As it slowly ascended into the sky, he wondered just how high it could go. So his parents told him: “What goes up must come down, it will fall back down to the earth eventually.”

Going by that, how long until the Voyager probes come back?
