WE TRAINED THEM NOT TO TOUCH THE STOVE Way back in the day a friends munchkins were at my house. One of them headed straight towards my Pioneer speakers that had the covers off, finger sticking out like he was going to poke it. A quick twist of the volume knob and Jr. fell straight back on his butt. Was no longer interested in the speakers. 1

Two generations of them scattered out through the years, and none of them ran the house, and knew it from the start. Can't say the same about some of them at home, but that is another rant.
Mrs.Cicero
My stove is three years old, propane, and the knobs are on the front. Fortunately, my kids know how to use them correctly.

janice6
During the war my father worked at the Twin Cities Arsenal. 50 caliber ammo plant. He brought home all the steps in making a shell, from the brass billet to the drawn cases, up to a finished product. He brought home variations of the bullets, from a plain copper/lead, to tracer and armor piercing rounds. It was quite a collection, all the steps to make various versions of the 50 caliber shell. One day he came home and I was making something on the stove, while I had carelessly left the live tracer bullet laying near a burner. He quickly grabbed it and put it on the table. It was quite hot. He never criticized me for cooking things, just got pissed when it was live ammunition.
