Inyo Tim
Working on a B&S lawn mower engine I remembered a cleaning method from my RC glow engine days. Fill a crockpot with 50/50 ethlene glycol and set crockpot to high until it starts to boil. Lower heat and let set for 6-8 hours. Pull part out with attached wire and rinse with cold water. Coked on carbon wipes right off. I should have taken a before photo. The rings were wore out with lots of blow-by. The crankcase vent is attached to the air intake so the intake valve was coked up too. A bit of touch up with a scraper and toothbrush size wire brush and here's the results.
