It keeps exact time, plays music, lets me read text messages and answer the stupid phone. And it counts how many steps I take every day and whines at me if I sit down too long. And while not ugly exactly, it's not pretty enough to be jewelry. 2
kerbie18
My last couple smart watches have been Garmin smart watches. It's capable of acting as a GPS navigator, without necessarily being connected to the phone. Comes in handy when you get lost in the woods. It also lets me see text messages. 1

My son would ask multiple times a day "What time is it" and I would check my wrist watch and tell him. No cell phone coverage, and it goes dead in a couple days anyway. Did you know you can tell direction using a watch? (one with hands, not a digital) Maybe you do, if you were ever in a real Boy Scout group.
