About SEMI AUTOMATICS (This was sent to me)

Over a century years ago, in 1907, our great grandparents were the first people able to buy the semi-automatic Winchester Model 1907. They could buy one from a Sears catalog and have it delivered via the USPS. It is a semi-automatic, high-powered, center fire rifle, with a detachable, high-capacity magazine. About 400,000 semi-automatic rifles were produced before WW2. Civilians had hundreds of thousands of them for 40 years, while US soldiers were still being issued old-fashioned bolt action rifles. The Model 1907 fires just as fast as an AR-15 and the bullet (.351 caliber) is actually larger than those fired by the more modern-looking weapon. The ONLY difference between the 1907 and the controversial and much-feared AR-15 is the modern black plastic stock and other COSMETIC features. The semi-automatic so-called "assault rifle" is 110 years old. It is NOT new in any way. The semi-automatic rifle is NOT a weapon of war. The government made it a weapon of war 40 years AFTER civilians had them. The semi-auto can and has been safely owned by civilians. The proof is that literally 3 generations of adults owned and used them responsibly and no one ever even noticed. Want to fix the horror of mass shootings? Get rid of imaginary “gun-free zones” where most mass shootings take place. They are the killing field of choice of madmen and maniacs. Because the rifle technology in question was here long before this insanity.

Didn’t Remington have a compatible semi-automatic rifle about the same time?

What is the point of this topic?

It is not about gun control; it is about citizen control.

We know that semi-automatic rifles have been around for more than 100 years.

So do the gun-grabbing fascists.

We know that there is no such thing as an 'assault weapon' and if there were, it would be unavailable for the civilian market.

So do the gun-grabbing fascists.

We can't own 155 mm howitzers, either.

So, what?

We went over all of this during the Omnibus Crime Bill of 1994, the so-called assault weapons ban.

Black rifles with plastic stocks and bayonet lugs bad, wood stocks and five-round magazines good.

The RINOS  back then sold us out and they will do it again.

For Mitch McConnell, the 'Common Sense' in Common Sense Gun Control is whatever his corporate masters say it is.

Universal background checks: you may not purchase a firearm unless we (the government) permit it.

Banning or registration of 'assault weapons.:  just makes us easier to find when the local police kick in your door to confiscate your firearms.

After some cops get shot by heretofore law-abiding citizens -- call in the Army.

Or the United Nations.

Fear not.

If we survive the raid, big city prosecutors don't prosecute gun crimes anymore.

Oh, wait.

That's only for career criminals for a particular skin tone.

We go to jail, directly to jail.

We don't pass Go.

We don't collect $200.00.

Yeah, I'm pretty darned pessimistic.

Regarding the so-called red flag laws on a federal basis that the corrupt professional liars of both parties want to discuss.

The Fourteenth Amendment to the Constitution  includes:  ... nor shall any State deprive any person of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law;

I am not a lawyer.

So, you get in a slight dispute with your arrogant, conceited neighbor; nothing beyond a verbal argument.  Neighbor, let's call her Karen, then calls the police and states that you have guns in you house and you've been acting strangely, prone to violence, she states.  The police arrive, kick in your door and seize your firearms -- for your safety, they tell you.  To keep the community safe.  Under the red flag law.  All you can do is watch your firearms vanish forever.

Dumped a girl- or boyfriend?

One call to the cops and your guns are gone.

Forever.

However, based on several state red flag laws, if the federal law that they are considering is like those, they are patently unconstitutional and any federal court that decides otherwise are not judges, but political activists.

Of course, that won't stop or even slow the professional liars down.

At one time I might have advised us to call our senators and representatives and tell them to vote no on unconstitutional laws, but then, the only calls they take are from their corporate masters.

It's coming, amigos.

If you're screwed anyway, why let them take you?

Why let them take you indeed.

Do the local and state law enforcement personnel and perhaps ultimately, the military,  really want to make enemies of half of the population?

The half that before then, fully supported them?

The half that committed no crime other than opposing hippie Marxist  fascism?
