Sex at two Europe raves may explain unusual monkeypox outbreaks

"David Heymann, an infectious diseases expert at the World Health Organization, has said that the recent monkeypox outbreak may have emerged via sexual transmission at two European raves, The Hill has reported.

What are the details?

Heymann told the Associated Press that raves in Belgium and Spain have become the leading theory in tracing back the disease's latest spread.

“It’s very possible there was somebody who got infected, developed lesions on the genitals, hands or somewhere else, and then spread it to others when there was sexual or close physical contact,” Heymann explained. “And then there were these international events that seeded the outbreak around the world, into the U.S. and other European countries.”"

"Germany has four confirmed cases linked to exposure at parties “where sexual activity took place” in Spain’s Canary Islands and Berlin, the AP reported.

“Many of these global reports of monkeypox cases are occurring within sexual networks,” said Inger Damon, the director of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s poxvirus research division, which includes monkeypox."

Never been to a rave but I’ve heard horror stories from guys who worked emergency services at these big events. It’s not like Woodstock where drugs and sex were happening but there was some restraint. Especially with anonymous sex.

At these raves everyone gets whacked up on party drugs and have all the sex they can. Girls will just sit on the edge of a table and take every girl and guy who wants them for hours on end.

Two to three days of hundreds of people having contact with as many people as possible. Some girls will just lay there and take over a hundred guys a night. By the end of an event the possible cases of cross infection are in the millions.

It reminds me of the scene in the ten commandments when Moses comes back to the camp and sees the craven idols and bestial goings on.  It's Sodom and Gomorrah all over again.
