I'm always amazed at what a driver food is to an animal. 

Then I see my dog go through agonizing gymnastics feigning hunger when she catches me with a snack.

I guess we humans have lost the desperation they feel when given the opportunity to eat, and not knowing if they will eat tomorrow.

We, of course know that we will eat tomorrow, and only agonize over what it will be, given that we have all the choice in the world.
