And if a sweet, old lady sends you an email out-of-the-blue hoping to give you millions of dollars just because, it's guaranteed to be a scam. Two pharmacists clients of mine got taken for $50,000.00. It happens.

My brain works pretty good at detecting scammers. But I am no longer amazed at the number of people who fail to use theirs.

A flavor in vogue is someone posting a WTB-something and someone offers to set him up with another who has one...... here's your sign.

The small community where I live still has a local paper which is down to two issues a week. Except for major sports its focus is local. Even so, reports of people being victimized by scams appear frequently.

And,,,,,,,,,,,,,,the scammers are getting a lot better too. Amazing the effort they put into it. I guess there is good money to be made, and almost all are offshore, so not fear of prosecution.

Yep. Common sense goes a long way online and off.

Scams must be working or the scammers would stop.

Incremental cost of one text or email scam pitch is near zero. Phone and snail mail efforts cost more.

Those are pretty easy, but I've seen some really well put together web sites and text structure. That takes some effort, especially the web sites. When you have to make them every week, it can get labor extensive. Then again, you get really good at it.

Who the hell would be stupid enough to fall for this?  Stupid should be painful.  I'd hate to be a customer of those pharmacies.

This is happening to me because I have posted a WTB a certain gun....I usually play along just for shits and giggles...

So far # 10, a bunch of them have been stupid enough to use the same pix and description...just so many "Red Flags"

I really want that gun....so, if it happens OK ....or not
