Louisiana Teacher Says That if Educators Can Teach Her Children About ‘Gender Identities’ She Should Be Allowed to Teach Them God Doesn’t Make Mistakes

Always heard what is good for the goose is good for the gander, or something along those lines...................

"Kristan Whann, a 4th grade teacher at Doyle Elementary in Livingston, argued that if other teachers can talk to her children about “gender identity” she should have the liberty to counter it in her own classroom.

“I should be able to teach them about Jesus and how God created them a boy or a girl on purpose and for a purpose. If you have the freedom to teach my child that they might be confused about their gender, then I should also have the liberty to teach your child that God did not make a mistake when he created them. I think it’s time we even out the playing ground,” Whann says.

The video has sparked complete meltdowns from the left, many of whom mocked her accent or religious beliefs. They have also been bombarding the school with complaints in order to try and get her fired."

As of Wednesday, the school had not commented on the video or leftist meltdown.  Keep in mind this is Louisiana.

Sadly, the color of the state will have little to no effect on what the federal mandate is on education.

I don't have a problem with her.  If there is a God worth worshiping, by definition He cannot make mistakes.  If He does, He isn't God, and isn't worth worshipping.  However, I can see the point of atheist taxpayers objecting to that being taught to their children in public schools.   And I can see the point of any sane taxpayer objecting to anything related to human sexuality being taught to to any K-3rd grade age child, and to teaching anything not specifically related to the potential consequences of any variation of sexual intercourse to any older grade school student.  I mean, get a grip.  If you really look at your anatomy, and think you are stuck in the wrong body, you obviously have mental health issues well beyond what 9-18 year olds need to hear about in health class (or any other class).  And any teacher that thinks discussing their own sexual proclivities with students is acceptable behavior needs to be fired and prevented from any contact with children forever after.   It's highly unprofessional and inadvertently grooming the child for abuse by another person later at best, and intentional grooming and specific mental and sexual abuse at worst.

Also, tt's no wonder so many children are confused about what the hell gender they are when their teachers are telling them they might be confused and then they see the kids who claim to be confused getting all kinds of attention for it.  Not the kind of attention I'd want, but kids who can't get good attention for the good things, will try for any attention for anything.

Personally, my kids grew up on a farm, and saw all kinds of animals doing all kinds of things, and I think our culture has suffered for its move into cities and away from the natural world.  On the other hand, my 18 year old was telling me I should give the buck rabbit some privacy to do his thing with the ladies two weeks ago, and she did not appreciate me telling her I had to watch to make sure he got three fall-offs with each doe before I took them out of his cage.  She thought that was "Tacky, Mom.  No class at all."

Had unneutered indoor only cats - deliberately - when my children were at relevant ages. Figured they were more fun than guppies for all of us. Placed the kittens in loving homes. The ones we didn’t keep.

Free range unneutered dogs provided equivalent information when I was growing up in a small town.
