railfancwb
I get so tired of being forced - or at least almost forced - to upgrade. Before I retired I had bought Office 97 then upgraded to Office 2000 - both to remain compatible with what was being used at work. Now that I’m retired Office 97 has far more capabilities than I need. Had to replace my obsolete computer when it died with a less obsolete but newly reconditioned one. Went to install Office 2000, which requires me to show eligibility for the upgrade with the Office 97 disk. The Office 2000 upgrade insists it is missing a file and can’t install. So why not rent Office 365. installed Office 97 and called it good. Even it has more capabilities than I will ever need.
Huaco Kid
I've got Office 2000 on all my computers. All I really ever need to do is read a .doc or type a letter. TADA! The free compatibility pack will let you open any excel or word version.
