I'd be curious to know what the trajectory is of both the Subsonic and Supersonic loads with the 1:3 twist and a 300 grain bullet. Seems likely that it's a short range cartridge with heavy bullets and I don't know how stabilization would be with 200 or 225 grain bullets for use as a supersonic hunting cartridge similar to the 338 Federal but with reduced velocity because of the shortened case.

Idea behind a "blackout" is that it's subsonic for suppressed rifles.  The higher the mass at 1100 fps the greater energy downrange. Pointy 338 pills aren't cheap though.

 

New cartridges are born and die so quickly it can be hard to keep up. Thanks for the heads up MF
