THESE FARMERS are true American's helping each other with or without reward.

"This is a story that makes us believe in humanity. If it weren’t for the kindness of these farmers, a young man wouldn’t have been able to win back his family farm. This is a story which took place in Nebraska, and features a family that has lost their farm several years ago.

It was not their fault, which is why all the farmers present at the auction, let them win that land back. All the farmers decided to remain silent, so that the auctioneer would have to give this family the farm they came to bid on."

I smell a made-up story.

while it is possible you are correct.  This type thing is not that uncommon in rural farm country.  My wife has a friend since high school that was married to a farmer, that with their two sons farmed a considerable amount of land.  He died and they didn't loose the farm but when it came time for the crops to be brought in all the surrounding farms brought in their combines and equipment and did the entire harvest for them.  All that expensive equipment and cost of operating isn't cheap.

At the time of the funeral there was several hundred people there and a neighboring church set up a building with complete sit down meal for everyone at no cost and put everything away afterwards.    Good things do happen but not often enough so I understand you skepticism.

few years ago farmer we knew  lost all his strawberries in the fields because of a rare disease .  me and and alot of other farmers paid all his bills  and paid him  what he would have made that year

once before i had my pond built i was big in tobacco  we had big drought  that year , a farmer down the road had big pond ,  i would have lost over 60,000 if not for farmers who got together ,

local sheriff gave out free permit to run pipes as far as we needed as there is a limit  , i came home that day and say water spraying the fields i pulled over and just cried .  we do take care of our own

and i got a free pond built  also . tearing up now ,  yall have good night .

There are LOTS of GOOD PEOPLE, unfortunately its the BAD PEOPLE who get the press,

Truth.

The original link reminds me of the guy at an auction who outbid a kid to get the patrol car the kid's dad had driven. The dad had been killed in the line of duty. The winner then tossed the keys to the kid.
