MO Fugga
Going on them soon. Wanted to know what to look out for, whatever info I can get. Thanks!
Maser
I was diagnosed with it a few years ago and prescribed amlodipine. I stopped taking it due to my blood pressure pretty much normalizing itself and also I heard lots of horror stories about blood thinners. Just don't eat like a pig and get exercise. You don't need a huge gym, but rather just do cardio which you can do in your own home. Plenty of YouTube vids out there.
janice6
Lisinopril. Nothing, just take it and forget it.
Borg warner
Amlodipine 5 mg taken at night and Lisinopril taken in the morning 5 MG. I've been taking these two meds togethr for about 4 years but recently my blood pressure readings were too low and making me dizzy and I passed out a couple of times when I was taking 20 MG of Lisinipril. after that I stopped taking Lisinipril until my blood pressure got back to normal and now I' only taking 5 mg daily. I alos take Atrovastatin to lower cholesterol and it works for me and causes no side effects but it does with some people.
ChuteTheMall
Hydrolazine and Metoprolol and Losartan and Amlodipine for HTN . Pace yourself to learn which ones make you drowsy or dizzy. If you get a 4 hour erection, contact your nurse.

Biff
I am on Diltiazem, Losartan and Hydralazine. I have had a lot of trouble with side affects of some BP meds.
LostinTexas
I'm allergic to the "prils", So can't help much with them. Amlodipine worked marginally for several years, then stopped. Upped the dose twice and punted. Put me on Hyzaar, but we can't seem to get it here. Odd times. So,,, Losartan 100 mg and HCTZ 25mg in two pills instead of one. It seems to be working, but may need some tweaking. All BP meds are swing till you win. Some work on some folks, some don't. Some work for a while and stop. You'll need to monitor your pressure for a while until things get leveled out. Don't jump up and take off for a while until you are sure you don't get light headed. A pile of things to look out for, most are just annoying or inconvenient, but some are pretty serious. Just like with any med. Good Luck 1

I was taking Diltiazem with my lisinopril but decided that impotency wasn't an acceptable alternative. I quit it. My BP is now acceptable, and I haven't looked back. I did tell my doctor what I did and why. p.s. Cialis was developed for heart problems when they found the side effect. My doctor also found accidently that I had a Bradycardia problem. They checked and told me to go away.

I have had bradycardia from taking BP meds, and it’s an awful feeling to have a heartbeat that is too slow. I have pain in my legs which gets very bad at times, and all of the pains and things makes life unbearable at times.
Huaco Kid
No medications at all. I eschew them all. There is one post-cancer medication I'm supposed to take, probably for the rest of my life, but that only lasted about six months. I just got over covid, for the third time, with no medications or even a doctor's appointment. I slept for four days, straight.
